Personnel from the Tucson police and fire departments have responded to a serious-injury motor vehicle accident around 1:30 p.m., authorities said.
The accident, which involved four vehicles, occurred at Stone Avenue and Wetmore Road. The intersection has been shut down in all directions due to the incident.

A photo provided by the Tucson Police Department showed one of the vehicles involved was overturned.
Drivers should avoid the area as emergency personnel are at the scene. The area will be closed down for at least an hour.
