A 62-year-old man died two days after being injured when the all-terrain vehicle he was driving flipped in a crash on the city's south side, Tucson police say.
About noon Monday, Rosendo Solis-Ochoa was one of three people driving ATVs in the area of East Old Vail Connection and South Nogales Highway. Solis-Ochoa, who was not wearing a helmet, lost control during a turn and struck several mailboxes before the ATV rolled over, police said in a news release.
On Wednesday, police learned that Solis-Ochoa had died at the hospital.
Investigators say failure to control speed was a major factor in the crash, the release said.
