A Tucson man was bitten by a coatimundi Wednesday in Sahuarita, game officials say.
βHe and others reportedly fed coatis there regularly,β the Arizona Game and Fish Department said in a social media post Thursday.
βThe man was treated for rabies, released. Coati are predators; never feed or approach them.β
The bite occurred in the 23000 block of Santa Rita Road.
βReport illegal wildlife feeding: 800-352-0700,β the department says.
