The body of a 75-year-old woman was found Monday evening in the street in a neighborhood on Tucson's south side, Police said.
Investigators suspect Sally Alcaraz Rodriguez was left in the 200 block of West Tennessee Street about 7 p.m. by an unknown driver after being struck by a vehicle elsewhere, Tucson police said Tuesday in a news release.
"Personal property believed to belong to Ms. Alcaraz Rodriguez was located to the west, near the intersection of South Liberty Avenue and West Kentucky Street; however, the exact location of the collision has not been confirmed," the release said.
Police continue to look for the vehicle in the crash, which investigators say might be a dark-colored sports car.
The incident is being investigated as a hit-and-run crash.
