A man has been arrested in connection with a shootout last month at a Tucson hotel that left one man dead, police said.
The shooting occurred during a confrontation involving several people about 9 a.m. July 27 at Grand Luxe Hotel, on West Grant Road at Interstate 10, police say.
Andrew Valencia, 32, was shot and killed.
Investigators say said the deadly encounter was related to a previous dispute.
During the altercation, Valencia shot a 33-year-old man. Immediately after, one of two men on a dirt bike returned fire, striking Valencia, Tucson police said in a news release.
The alleged gunman has been identified as Angel Figueroa-Alicea, 35. He was arrested and jailed on suspicion of prohibited possession of a firearm, the release said.
Police say they anticipate submitting homicide charges once the investigation is complete.
