A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the killing last week of a Tucson convenience store worker, police say.

Scott Dwayne Kennedy, 55, was shot about 11 p.m. Jan. 22 while working at the 7-Eleven store at South Columbus Boulevard and East 29th Street, Tucson police have said.

Kennedy was shot after confronting a suspected shoplifter, police have said. He died at the scene.

On Saturday, police found Andres Kenneth McKale in midtown. He was booked into the Pima County jail on suspicion of first-degree murder and armed robbery.
