Tucson police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in a wash Monday morning on the city's south side, authorities said.

The body of Andrea Marie Padilla, 39, was found in a wash near East 22nd Street and South Euclid Avenue following a search prompted by a call to 911, Tucson police said in a news release.

Police said they found signs of trauma.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME, the anonymous tip line.
