A Tucson man has been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in connection with a Sahuarita homicide last week, the Sahuarita Police Department says.

Douglas Gauf, 65, was arrested Wednesday in the death of Terry Parker, 51, a Sahuarita resident who was found dead May 17 in a home in the 300 block of East Calle Minerva, Sahuarita police said in a news release.

Sahuarita police had arrested Gauf Tuesday in Tucson on suspicion of unrelated drug charges, and he was rebooked into the Pima County jail Wednesday in connection with the homicide, the release said.

Sahuarita police are asking anyone with information about the case to call 911; or 520-344-7000 Monday through Fridays during business hours; or the department's tip line at 520-445-7847.
