A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting last month on a Tucson bicycle path, police said.

Victor Manuel Flores, 34, was arrested May 1 in the deadly confrontation that took place on the Rillito River Park Trail near North First Avenue, Tucson police said in a news release.

Flores was jailed on suspicion of second-degree murder, the release said.

In the shooting, Armando Betancourt-Audia, 33, was found shot and wounded on the bike path.

He died later at a hospital.

Police have said the shooting occurred during a confrontation between the men, but no further details have been released.
