Amiga, a black kitten who was stolen Sunday from an Oro Valley PetSmart store, was safely returned, Oro Valley police said Tuesday night.

Two boys, who ran off with the cat that had been up for adoption at PetSmart, 10625 N. Oracle Road, were identified.

The investigation is continuing and charges are pending, according to an Oro Valley Police Department Facebook post.

Amiga was uninjured and in good health, authorities said.

She was taken from PetSmart's cat room after a lock was cut off a cage. The cat was recently spayed and still had stitches, stated a post.
