TUCSON, Ariz. β The federal government says a 54-year-old Tucson man has been sentenced to nearly 13 years in prison after robbing a bank.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says Robert Baron was sentenced in federal court on Monday. He pleaded guilty to armed bank robbery.
The feds say Baron walked into a Bank of America in Tucson on Feb. 23, 2015, and brandished a fake weapon made to look like an Uzi-style assault gun. He made off with cash but was caught a day later.
Baron was on federal supervised release for illegally carrying a shotgun in Utah at the time of his arrest. That resulted in Baron receiving an additional 30 months in prison for violating his Utah supervision. In total, Baron was sentenced to 155 months for both cases.
