Marana superintendent receives leadership award
Doug Wilson, superintendent of the Marana Unified School District, has been named the 2018 American Association of School Administrators National Superintendent of the Year for Arizona.
The honor, from the Arizona School Administrators, is designed to recognize the outstanding leadership of active, front-line superintendents.
“It has been the greatest privilege to work in public education for the last 36 years, and I am humbled by this honor,” Wilson said. “This recognition speaks more to the quality of the people who I am surrounded by, than anything I have accomplished.”
Wilson has served as the superintendent of Marana Unified School District since July 2008.
