Enrollment is now open for the Marana Unified School District’s Summer Success program.
The program provides online instruction for credit advancement or credit retrieval in high school English, math, science and social studies. It is open to both in-district and out-of-district students.
The cost of the classes, taught by highly qualified teachers, varies by the level of instruction.
Classes for students who are self-motivated with access to a computer and Internet are free.
Those who prefer a classroom lab environment can pay $60 a session. Students in need of blended support, in which teachers and instructional support are on site, would pay $125 per session.

CenturyLink grant pays for computer lab
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson was awarded a $5,000 grant by CenturyLink to open a computer lab.
The computer lab, which will be located at the Frank & Edith Morton Clubhouse, 3155 E Grant Road, will be used by youth for homework assignments, research and to learn technology skills.
It will be equipped with 10 computers.
Information nights set at University High
University High School is hosting two admissions information nights in the coming weeks.
Next year’s seventh-graders and their families are encouraged to attend on Thursday or on April 4 at 6 p.m. in the auditorium, 421 N. Arcadia Ave.
Families will learn about the admissions process for both in-district and out-of-district students, the entrance exam and have a chance to meet UHS administration and staff.
Pueblo High to host Freshman Night
Pueblo Magnet High School is hosting Future Freshman Night on Thursday from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
The event will be held in the school auditorium, 3500 S. 12th Ave.
Incoming freshmen will complete registration and select or verify their courses for next year, take tours of the campus, meet faculty and staff and learn about clubs and sports. Food will be available for purchase on the patio.
College, career event
at PPEP Tec High
PPEP Tec High School will be holding a college and career open house Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m.
Colleges and businesses from around the city will be on hand with information about programming, admissions and career paths.
The event, which is open to the public, will be held at the Celestino Fernández Learning Center, 1840 E. Benson Highway. Applications will also be accepted to enroll for the fall semester.
S. AZ students headed to STEM competitions
Southern Arizona students will compete internationally in science, technology, engineering and math competitions.

Hebrew Academy hosts science fair
Tucson Hebrew Academy will host a science, technology, engineering and math fair on April 3.
There will be more than 50 exhibits, which would include hands-on activities. The festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the academy’s campus, 3888 E. River Road. Exhibitors include the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Pima Air & Space Museum, Southern Arizona Rocketry Association and the International Dark-Sky Association.
The event will be free and open to the public.
