Here's your feel-good story of the week.

Two Oro Valley Police officers gave a 97-year-old World War II vet a memorable gift when they purchased some new tires for him last Friday.

Officers received a service call about a man with a flat tire last Friday, according to Oro Valley Police Department spokeswoman Sgt. Carmen Trevizo. After they put on the man's spare tire, they told him that he needed to get the flat tire replaced.

The officers escorted him to a nearby Discount Tire, where it was determined that he needed three new tires. Money was an issue for the veteran so the three officers decided that they'd help him out by each buying him a new tire.

Jeremy Upham was at the tire shop and took a photo of the police officers inside. He shared his account of the story on a Facebook post, which has since been shared on the social media platform more than 3,000 times.

Oro Valley Police shared Upham's post. "We will take a second to brag on one of our squads," the department wrote. "Sgt. Gracie and squad four went above and beyond to help this man."
