Burning guardrail posts.

Repairs to guardrails damaged by the Sawmill Fire on Arizona 83 between Interstate 10 and Sonoita will continue Wednesday.

The Arizona Department of Transportation said drivers can expect lane restrictions and delays up to 10 minutes from milepost 42 to milepost 44, about eight miles north of Sonoita. Work is scheduled until 5 p.m. Tuesday, and from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday.

One lane will remain open at all times during the work. Crews will guide drivers through the work zone.

Arizona 83 in this area was closed for three days last week while crews battled the Sawmill Fire, which has now been nearly 100 percent contained. The fire burned about 47,000 acres.
