Who doesn't love to eat local?

It's a great way to help out the community, and local dining can often be some of the best.

Tucson has a vast number of local eateries that serve up comfort food and meals that taste homemade, but according to Only in Your State, two of those restaurants stand out.

In their article, "10 Best Mom and Pop Restaurants in Arizona," Only in Your State dishes up some of the best locally-owned restaurants Arizona has to offer.

The first Tucson spot on the list is Frank's, located on the east side at 3843 East Pima Street.

"Tucson residents can get their diner fix by taking a trip to Frank’s and Francisco's," the article says. "It’s a no-frills diner that seems like an ode to the past. It has a loud busy kitchen, cozy tables, and endless streams of flowing coffee."

Frank's serves up breakfast and lunch every day until 2 p.m., and after closing for a few-hour break, returns in the evening as Francisco's, serving up hearty, homemade Mexican food.

The next Tucson restaurant on the list is Lindy's on 4th, located in a "new" larger spot at 500 North 4th Avenue.

"Lindy’s on 4th is more than your typical burger joint," the article says. "They’re a purveyor of some of the most insane burger creations known to man."

With burger favorites like the Mac N Cheese burger, Super Sunrise and Thunder Bacon Cheesesteak, Lindy's is a "must visit restaurant" for any foodie, the article says.
