Despite its romance and beauty, the Seine has historically been quite toxic with swimming mostly off limits for a century. But holding swimming events in the Seine was a key part of Paris' bid to host the 2024 Olympics. And with the games just over a year away, mass cleanup efforts are in full swing. FRANCE 24's Alison Sargent takes a look.
