Police arrested a Sierra Vista man Friday on suspicion of molesting a child.
John Lucian Shearer, 34, was the suspect in a child molestation case Sierra Vista police began investigating in March, the Sierra Vista Police Department said in a news release Monday. The Cochise County Sheriff's Office also had a felony arrest warrant for Shearer in connection with a burglary.Β
Sierra Vista police detectives took Shearer into custody Nov. 17 as he walked along Fry Boulevard, police said. Shearer was charged with two counts of sexual conduct with a minor child, child molestation, and furnishing harmful items to a minor child.Β
He is in custody at the Cochise County jail on a $10,000 bond for the child molestation charges and a $50,000 bond for the burglary charge.Β
