With Jahvon Quinerly on board, here's a player-by-player look at Arizona's next two basketball rosters

Arizona has a whole bunch of scholarships left for 2018-19, even after landing a verbal commitment from Jahvon Quinerly on Tuesday night.

The 13-player scholarship maximum hardly matters anymore in high-major college basketball recruiting, where players come and go all the time, and the inflow tends to stop once guys sense their potential playing time is spoken for.
But looking at future rosters can serve as a reminder of what kind of room is left at the moment and what kind of needs the Wildcats have moving forward. Jahvon Quinerly committed to the UA on Tuesday despite the fact that he and Brandon Williams play the same position, point guard. No big deal, Quinerly said: He or Williams can play off the ball.
"Me and him can co-exist in the backcourt together," he told ESPNU.

Obviously, Alkins and Trier aren’t likely to be around by then (Ayton has already said he won’t be), which makes it even more clear that the Wildcats need bodies for 2018-19 even after getting commitments from O’Neal and Jeter. But getting Jeter was a big step for UA since he’s almost certain to be around by then after sitting out next season as a redshirting transfer.

Play like a pirate or even a mermaid, just not at the same time or place.
