The Arizona Wildcats will face Purdue in the Foster Farms Bowl in Santa Clara, California.
The game is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 27, at 5:30 p.m. PT, 6:30 in Tucson.
The way things shook out Sunday, Arizona could have landed in one of three bowls: Holiday, Foster Farms or Sun. The Wildcats appeared to be ticketed for the Las Vegas Bowl, but when Washington got a spot in the Fiesta Bowl, all the Pac-12 schools moved up a notch.a
This will be Arizonaβs first appearance in the Foster Farms Bowl, which takes place at Leviβs Stadium, home of the Pac-12 Championship Game. The Wildcats (7-5, 5-4 Pac-12) return to postseason play after a one-year hiatus. Itβs their fifth bowl appearance in six seasons under Rich Rodriguez.
Purdue went 6-6 in its first season under Jeff Brohm. The Boilermakers, who went 4-5 in the Big Ten, are making their first postseason appearance since 2012.
Purdue ended the season winning three of its final four games, notching victories over Illinois, Iowa (in Iowa City) and Indiana.
Weβll have reaction to Arizonaβs bowl berth from Rodriguez and UA players later today.
