Lucas Havrisik

The Arizona Wildcats have added a specialist to their 2017 class, just two weeks before signing day.

Lucas Havrisik, a punter/placekicker from Norco High School in Norco, California, Tweeted Sunday night that he has committed to the UA. Havrisik is rated the No. 12 kicker in the Class of 2017 and a five-star kicking recruit, according to Chris Sailer Kicking.

Sailer, Havrisik's personal coach and a former star at UCLA, wrote the following about the 6-foot-3-inch, 165-pound senior:

"Lucas is a big time kicking prospect. He is a great athlete with one of the stronger legs in his class. Hits a pure ball off the ground on field goals and is extremely accurate. One of the best field kickers in the nation without a doubt. His kickoffs are strong and consistent. He drives the ball to the back of the end zone with great consistency. He is confident player that does very well under pressure. Lucas also shows great ability as a punter. He has the tools to dominate the D1 level. "

Havrisik's commitment comes just days after Braxton Burmeister, a four-star quarterback and the top player in Rich Rodriguez's recruiting class, decommitted and enrolled at Oregon.

Havrisik's addition could ease the workload of Josh Pollack, who handled both the punter and placekicker positions for most of the 2016 season. Pollack made nine of 14 field goal attempts, and netted just under 37 yards per punt. Jake Glatting replaced Pollack at punter toward the end of the Wildcats' 3-9 season.

If nothing else, Havrisik could handle kickoffs. Edgar Gastelum, the Wildcats' designated kickoff specialist, suffered a concussion last season and then quit the team.

Arizona coaches are still putting the finishing touches on the 2017 class, which will be unveiled Feb. 1
