Minnesota transfer D-lineman Gaelin Elmore lists Arizona Wildcats as finalist

Arizona has been in the running for Minnesota graduate transfer Gaelin Elmore for a few weeks now.

Friday, the Wildcats came closer to reeling him in.

After initially planning to announce his commitment, Elmore, a defensive end, instead opted to list the final two schools he's considering — Arizona and East Carolina.

The final list is somewhat surprising given all the schools that Elmore held offers from, including Oklahoma and South Carolina. He visited Arizona earlier this month. 

Elmore, listed at 6-6, 275 pounds, amassed four sacks and 9.5 tackles for loss in three years at Minnesota, and would eligible to play right away for Arizona.
