Sunday, the Wildcats got a head start on 2018 β Cienega quarterbackΒ Jamarye JoinerΒ verbally committed to Arizona, Bobcats coach Pat Nugent confirmed to the Star.Β
Joiner has helped the Bobcats to a 5-0 start, showing his versatility by spending time at quarterback, running back and receiver. Joiner has passed for 581 yards and four touchdowns with zero interceptions, along with 358 rushing yards, 20 receiving yards and seven rushing touchdowns.Β
He's listed as an athlete on Scout.com, and isn't rated yet by any of the online scouting services. Joiner started his career at Salpointe Catholic but was expelled and didn't play the 2015 season before transferring to Cienega this year.
