Every season on HBO's "Hard Knocks," a television series that goes behind-the-scenes of an NFL franchise during training camp, there's a player that becomes a fan favorite after being heavily featured on the show.

This year, that was former Arizona receiver Austin Hill, who was trying to make the Los Angeles Rams. The show showed a lot of footage of Hill, who went undrafted last year, spending time with his daughter and fighting for reps.

Hill made the initial 75-man roster cut, and played in the Rams' final regular season game. The Rams cut Hill on Friday, one day before NFL teams are required to set their 53-man rosters.Β

Hill could land on the Rams' 10-person practice squad, be signed to another team's roster or signed to another team's practice squad. The Rams cut former Arizona receiverΒ David Richards last week.Β

The news was better for UA safety Will Parks, who found out Friday that heΒ made the Denver Broncos.Β

Some of the other former Wildcats still awaiting word on their fate: linebackerΒ Scooby Wright with the Cleveland Browns, linebackerΒ Reggie Gilbert with the Green Bay Packers, receiverΒ Cayleb Jones with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Ex-Wildcat defensive linemanΒ Dan Pettinato was also cut today by the Houston Texans.Β

Here's the tweet with Parks' announcement.Β
