Oro Valley Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Linda Chorney will sing the national anthem at Fenway Park on April 21 before the Red Sox take on the Yankees in Chorney's native Massachusetts.
"It's always been a dream of mine to sing the national anthem at Fenway Park," she gushed from home in Oro Valley, where she lives part of the year with her husband. "I am just thrilled beyond. It is really, really exciting."
Chorney, 52, got the invite through a quirky chance meeting of a man in California who knew a man in Boston who had connections at Fenway.
