The Pima College women's basketball team stretched its winning streak to 11 by routing visiting Glendale CC 87-49 on Saturday.

Kiley Sours-Miller had 33 points and 15 rebounds as the No. 10-ranked Aztecs improved to 23-4 overall and 15-2 in the ACCAC.

Leading just 26-23, Pima broke the game open with an 18-0 run that spanned halftime. The Aztecs were on top 58-36 by the end of the third quarter.

Sours-Miller was 16 ofΒ 26 from the field and added four blocks and two assists. Lucy Land added eight points and eight rebounds.

Last Wednesday, first-place Pima used a 39-0 run covering just under 17 minutes of the second half in a 93-18 rout of host South Mountain CC. Sours-Miller had 19 points, nine rebounds and six blocks.

Pima's last game of the regular season will be against second-place Mesa CC at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25. Region tournament play starts March 4.

Men's basketball

Isaiah Hill had 20 points and 13 rebounds as the No. 4 Aztecs (29-0, 17-0) stayed perfect with a 103-81 home win over Glendale CC on Saturday.

Will Feagles scored all 17 of his points in the second half, after the Aztecs led 45-36 at halftime.

Glendale cut the lead to 63-62 with 11:25 left, but Pima responded with runs of 12-0 and 14-2 in outscoring the Gauchos 40-19 from that point.

Gerron Graham had 11 points, nine assists and seven rebounds in the win.

Graham and Isaac Johnson each scored 17 points in Pima's 77-65 win at South Mountain CC last Wednesday. The win clinched the No. 1 seed for the Aztecs in the Region I, Division II Tournament.

Pima closes out the regular season with a home game against Mesa CC at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25. Region tournament play begins March 5.

Softball

Pima didn't allow a run on the day in sweeping visiting Chandler-Gilbert 8-0 and 2-0 in a doubleheader Saturday.

The No. 6 Aztecs (16-1, 11-1) got wins from Belen Camacho (5-0) and Sariah Ferrentino (6-1). Jiselle Nunez was 2 for 2 on the day with an RBI and four walks.

Last Tuesday, Pima swept visiting Scottsdale CC 5-0 and 4-3 in a doubleheader. Camacho and Ferrentino earned the pitching wins, while Julissa Lopez hit a walk-off single in the nightcap as Pima scored three times in the bottom of the seventh to rally.

Pima is on the road for its next six games, starting with a nonconference doubleheader at Eastern Arizona at noon Tuesday, Feb. 24. It will get back to conference play with a doubleheader at Phoenix College at noon Saturday, Feb. 28.

Baseball

Adriel Figueroa-Brito hit a grand slam in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader as No. 21 Pima split with host Scottsdale CC, losing 5-2 and winning 16-8.

Tied 6-6 in the fifth inning of the nightcap, Leon Cereceres drew a bases-loaded walk that scored Quintin Hennesy to put Pima (13-6, 6-4) up for good. Figueroa-Brito followed with his slam to make it 11-6.

Last Wednesday, Pima swept host GateWay CC 6-4 and 10-2 in a doubleheader. Jackson Glueck was 4 for 8 on the day with five RBIs.

The Aztecs host Phoenix College for a doubleheader starting at noon Tuesday, Feb. 24. Pima will hit the road Saturday, Feb. 28, for a noon doubleheader at Scottsdale CC.
