Two former Arizona Wildcats are now playing in the East-West Shrine Bowl.
Arizona wide receiver Kris Hutson joins safety Dalton Johnson as Wildcats to play in the East-West Shrine Bowl at The Star in Frisco, Texas on Tuesday.
Last year, Washington Commanders rookie and former UA running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt was the Offensive MVP of the East-West Shrine Bowl after scoring two touchdowns, which helped his draft stock and landed him a spot in the seventh round of the NFL Draft.
Hutson played one season in Tucson following stops at Oregon and Washington. The Compton, California native led the Wildcats in receptions (60) and receiving yards (764).
Hutson also scored four touchdowns. Hutson had three 100-yard performances, including a combined 17 catches for 256 yards and a touchdown in back-to-back weeks against Cincinnati and Baylor.
Hutson had 44 first-down catches for Arizona this past season — 73% of his total receptions — according to Pro Football Focus.
The East-West Shrine Bowl is on Tuesday, Jan. 27 at 5 p.m. on NFL Network.
