Stockton tops Roadrunners at Tucson Arena; 'Star Wars Night' next

The Stockton Heat scored twice in the second period to  take the lead, then added a pair of empty-net goals to top the Roadrunners 4-1 Friday night at Tucson Arena. 

The goals, by Ryan Lomberg and Hunter Shinkaruk, gave the Heat the edge. Andrew Mangiapane and Cody Goloubef added a goal in the final minutes, padding the visitors’ lead.

Dylan Strome scored Tucson’s only goal. 

The teams will play again Saturday, with the puck dropping at 7:05 p.m. The Roadrunners will wear “Star Wars”-themed jersey as part of Star Wars Night.
