To get started, we compiled a list of yoga classes around Tucson that you can take every week.

Not only are yoga classes great for the body, they're also a good way to stay centered and to find some calm. 

Also, make sure to watch for our monthly workout stories in which we (Angela Pittenger and Johanna Willett) try out new, trendy or funky group fitness classes and tell you all about them. 

BeerYo!

What: Yoga and beer. Need we say more?

Where: BlackRock Brewers, 1664 S. Research Loop, suite 200

When: 11 a.m. Saturdays

Hot 26

What: In this class, inspired by the Bikram practice, you'll practice in a room heated to 104-106 degrees with a humidity level ranging from 30-50 percent. Each class contains Bikram's beginning 26 yoga postures and two breathing exercises. For beginners and experienced practitioners. 

Where: Fourth Avenue Yoga, 413 E. Fifth Street

When: 5:30 and 7 p.m. Wednesday; 4 p.m. Saturday and 5:30 p.m. Sunday

Naked Yoga

What: Co-ed clothing optional yoga

When: 4 p.m. Tuesdays

Where: Floor Polish Dance Studio, 215 N. Hoff Ave.

Aerial Yoga

What: Move through yoga poses in an aerial hammock. It includes elements of stretching, strengthening, balance and inversions. All levels and body types welcome.

When: 6:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays and 10 a.m. Saturdays

What: Early morning power vinyasa to give you energy for the day.

Prenatal YogaHour

What: Slower paced flow yoga which includes prenatal modifications for all levels.

Mama & Baby Yoga

What: Gentle yoga in a playful environment for new mamas and their babies. The class allows you to explore your new body, rebuild core strength and release tension in hips, back and neck. Babies can snooze, play on their blankets or join you in poses. The class is designed for pre-crawling babies, but pre-toddlers are welcome, too.

What: Gentle breathing and yoga poses combined with laughter designed to promote peace and healing.
