You'll find a variety of local produce among other things at the farmers market.

Two farmers markets have recently popped up downtown, making the area even more of a destination for food and shopping.

The 5 Points Farmers Market is held every Sunday at Cesar Chavez Park (next to 5 Points Market and Cafe Desta) and was started in December. It offers a free space for farmers to sell their produce.

FoodInRoot, which organizes several markets around Tucson already, is starting a new wellness market at Presidio Park tomorrow, Jan. 11.

Organizers say the market offers products and services that minister to the whole person, such as organic local produce, olive-oil-based soap, apple salsa, gluten free and vegan baked goods, a local boxing gym, handmade incense, locally-made energy bars for exercise, massage therapy and herbs, sage bundles and other Native American artisan products.
