Need a cheap way to dress up your pet for Halloween?
Check out these DIY costumes you can make at home for under $4 — as long as you have a pair of scissors, glue gun, pen/sharpie and glue sticks. You can pick up those items at your local 99-cent store.
🦎Lizard Costume🦎
Things you will need:
• Green ribbon purchased from the Dollar Tree: $1
• Two felt sheets from Walmart: $0.23 each
• One green foam sheet from Walmart: $0.33 each
• One package of Dollar Tree Velcro: $1 (optional)
Tools to use: Scissors, pen/sharpie, glue gun and glue sticks
Total cost including tax : $1.94 💰 So Cheap!
Let's get started!
Cut diamonds out of the foam sheet and fold them on the dotted line to create a triangle. Then hot glue them together.
Make sure to measure your pet. Then cut the ribbon according to the measurements. You can also cut and glue velcro to the ends (optional extra step)
Hot glue your folded spikes on the top of the costume.
Now You're Done!
🌵Cactus Costume🌵
Things you will need:
• One green shirt from the Dollar Tree: $1
• Hat from the Dollar Tree: $1
• Two green foam sheets from Walmart: $0.33 each
• One package of white pipe cleaners from Walmart: $0.88 each
Tools to use: Scissors, pen/sharpie, glue gun and glue sticks
Total cost including tax : $3.48 💰 So Cheap!
Let's get started!
Trace a cactus on both foam sheets and cut them out. Hot glue them to the front of the hat.
Cut the pipe cleaners into 2-inch lengths and bend them in the middle. Hot glue the bent part onto the back side of the t-shirt.
Measure your pet's head and cut the ribbon according to the measurements. Hot glue the ribbon to the hat.
Done!

• Two tan felt sheets from Walmart : $0.23 each
• One stack of small multicolor foam sheets from Dollar Tree: $1
• One package of foil from Dollar Tree: $1
• One package of Dollar Tree Velcro: $1 (optional)
Tools to use: Scissors, pen/sharpie, glue gun and glue sticks
Total cost including tax : $3.76 💰 So Cheap!
