While many of these events are for ages 21 and up, some are appropriate for the whole family. If you're looking for a list of events for kids specifically,ย click here!

Terror in the Corn

This haunted attraction is back for another year of scares. Your ticket gets you access to three scary attractions connected by a cornfield. The event is presented by Buckelew Farm, known for its now-closed pumpkin patch. Terror in the Corn is not recommended for toddlers or small children. Kids ages 12 and under aren't allowed without an adult and parental discretion is advised.

When:ย 6-10 p.m. select Thursdays and Sundays; 6 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays. Also open Oct. 30-31.

The Slaughterhouseย 

Tucson's haunted attraction The Slaughterhouse has opened for the season with its infested boiler room, creepy clowns and a graveyard. There's also a zombie-shooting experience and "hellevators," among other activities. The Slaughterhouse is recommended for ages 13 and up.

When:ย Thursday-Sunday through Oct. 29. Also open Oct. 30-31 and Nov. 3.

Nightfall

Nightfall at Old Tucson is back for another year. The website says there are five new "terrifying haunted mazes," plus four new scare zones, stunt shows, a seance and family-friendly attractions.ย

The Hotel Congress Sรฉance Experience

The Hotel Congress Sรฉance Experience is a live recreation of a Victorian Era-theatrical sรฉance "exactly as performed in 1800s" in the hotel's only third-floor room to survive its 1934 fire (be prepared to go up a few flights of stairs).

Fall Pumpkin Celebration at Apple Annie's

Take a road trip to Apple Annie's in Willcox for a hayride to the pumpkin patch. Walk through a sunflower field, make your way through the 12ยฝ-acre corn maze and pick some veggies to take home. Although this is a family-friendly attraction, we opted to keep it on our adult Halloween list too because pumpkin-picking is fun for everyone ๐ŸŽƒ

When:ย The corn maze is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through Oct. 31. You can pick pumpkins 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily โ€” but the hayrides to the patch are only open weekends.ย

Cost:ย Corn maze is $10 for ages 12 and up, $8 for ages 3-11. Hayrides are $5 for ages 3 and up. Pumpkins range in price.

Marana Pumpkin Patch & Farm Festival

Pick your perfect pumpkin, explore the corn maze, and enjoy a number of kid-friendly activities such as carnival rides and a jumping pillow.ย Although this is a family-friendly attraction, we opted to keep it on our adult Halloween list too because pumpkin-picking is fun for everyone ๐ŸŽƒ

Tucson Terrorfest Horror-Con and Film Festival

The annual Tucson Terrorfest Horror-Con and Film Festival celebrates all things horror with the film festival at The Screening Room and the Horror-Con at 191 Toole.ย The convention portion has been described as your typical convention experience, like Tucson Comic-Con โ€” but horror.

This two-day market in Oro Valley, hosted by SAACA, features more than 100 artisans, in addition to classic truck displays, live art demonstrations, music and crafts for kids. Expect candy apples, pumpkin drinks, a pumpkin patch, pumpkin painting/carving and Halloween face painting.

It might as well be Halloween all October long at Casa Video! Watch spooky movies alongside local food trucks nearly every night. Haunted Ruins Presents Legler's Legacy

Local fantasy park Valley of the Moon is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year with a play that honors founder George Phar Legler and the legacy he left behind.ย

Court Street Cemetery Walking Tour

The Presidio Museum presents two Court Street Cemetery Walking Tours this weekend, led by archaeologist Homer Thiel. The tours wind through the cemetery, where thousands of people were buried between 1875 and the early 1900s.ย

Keith Stewart sorts through his wheelbarrow of severed heads, looking for the right one to hang in the right place while working on his front yard haunted Halloween walk, Tomb Town. Stewart and his wife Jenny, have been running their neighborhood walk for 22 years, with proceeds going to the Community Food Bank.

The Terror Trail at Tomb Town Tucson

For two decades, Keith and Jenny Stewart have put together a spooky two-night show, dubbed Tomb Town, in their front yard.
