If you have a daughter who's interested in math and science, check out this special screening of the movie "Hidden Figures."

As part of ongoing efforts to inspire Tucson girls to go into STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) careers, the YWCA of Southern Arizona has formed a partnership with Harkins Theatres Spectrum 18 to host the screening on Saturday.

If you're not familiar, "Hidden Figures" is based on the true story of three African American women who provided NASA with important mathematical data needed to launch the program's first successful space missions.

Girls must be registered by noon Thursday to go. Click here to do so.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help pay for the event. Money raised will also help pay admission for girls who can't afford to go. Click here if you want to donate money.

If it is a financial hardship for your daughter to go, you can send an email to lhernandez@ywcatucson.org for a special registration code.
