Tucson Parks and Recreation's fall 2024 leisure classes schedule boasts hundreds of fun and engaging opportunities for the community.

The Santa Cruz River Farmers Market sets up shop at the MSA Annex every Thursday. This Thursday, though, the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona will be offering Tohono O'odham yellow watermelon. Demonstrations, tastings and music are part of the fun.

Badges and Backpacks
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department will be giving away 1,000 backpacks with school supplies along with hearing, physicals, vision and dental checks, vaccines and coupons for free kid's meals and haircuts. The department will also give classroom supplies and law enforcement demos to the school with the highest attendance. The event is first come, first served and gives one backpack per child.

We've enjoyed the pool all summer long, but now it's time for our four-legged besties to get in on the action. Dubbed Pupapoolooza, Tucson-area dogs will get to enjoy a swim at two Pima County pools on two Saturdays this August.
