It might feel a little small when LA rock trio Silent Rival takes the stage at 191 Toole Friday night following their show at Marana's Fourth of July celebration Wednesday.
Thousands were in the audience when the alternative rockers took the stage at Marana's expansive Crossroads at Silverbell District Park. There will only be a fraction of that number when the band joins The Sometimes to open for Phoenix pop rockers Anarbor at the standing-room-only downtown venue.
Silent rival played about 40 minutes on Wednesday, but afterwards, a line of newfound fans waited in the wilting heat to get a photo or autograph from lead singer Sara Coda, who sounds a bit like Pink Floyd frontman David Gilmour — in a glorious way.

Friday's show at 191 Toole, 191 E.Toole Ave., begins at 8 p.m. Admission is $10 at the door.
