Jody Butera is the new chief financial officer of BannerโUniversity Medical Group, the physician practice plan of faculty from the UA Colleges of Medicine in Tucson and Phoenix. Butera, a certified public accountant with more than 20 years in health-care finance, was chief financial officer for the UA Health Plans for six years. She holds a bachelorโs degree in finance and accounting from the UA and an MBA in health-care management from the University of Phoenix.
Four longtime University of Arizona Health Network employees have been promoted to leadership positions within BannerโUniversity Medicine, the academic arm of Banner Health. Nonprofit Banner Health acquired the UA Health Network in March.
