Albertsons will close an east-side store this summer.
“The decision was difficult and involved a lengthy evaluation,” said Nancy Keane, a spokeswoman. “Ultimately the closure will strengthen operational efficiencies.”
The store, at 6363 E. 22nd St., near South Wilmot Road, is expected to close by the end of July.
The number of impacted employees was not available, but the company said they will be offered opportunities to transfer to other locations.
