4 child life specialists join Banner-Diamond
Banner-Diamond Childrenβs Medical Center introduced its new child life specialists, all of whom have relocated to Tucson in recent months. They work with children and families to help them cope with the challenges of hospitalization, illness or disability.
Betsy DeVenney received her bachelorβs degree in child development from Iowa State University and completed her internship at Advocate Childrenβs Hospital in Chicago. She is the child life specialist for the hematology-oncology unit and the BMT outpatient clinic.
Frances Rosales earned her bachelorβs degree in family studies and human development from the University of Arizona and she completed her child life internship at NorthShore Hospital in Chicago. She will work with children facing surgery.
LeAnna Lucero earned her bachelorβs degree from UCLA and a masterβs degree in therapeutic recreation and child life from the University of Wisconsin. Before joining Diamond Childrenβs, where she works in the pediatric emergency department, she worked at a childrenβs hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin. She is dually certified as a child life specialist and therapeutic recreation specialist.
Analise Lotz has a masterβs degree in counseling from Saint Maryβs University in Minnesota and completed her child life internship at Childrenβs of Minneapolis. She previously worked at Childrenβs St. Paul Pediatric Hospital in diabetic support and the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Minnesota.
Farmers hires Jimenez
as insurance adviser
The Southern Arizona District Office of Farmers Insurance Group has appointed Frank Jimenez as its newest adviser to Tucson.
He holds property/casualty and life/health insurance licenses.
Jimenez, who is bilingual, has years of experience in the insurance industry, Farmers said in a news release.
