- Millions for Tucson: The Millions for Tucson raffle, sponsored by Jim Click, raised more than $1 million for 394 local charities that participated in the fundraiser this year. The winning ticket was sold by the charity Friends of Madera Canyon to Green Valley resident John MacTaggart. As the grand prize winner, MacTaggart was eligible to take home a 2017 Ford Explorer donated by Click, but opted to take home a cash prize instead, the Green Valley News reported.
- Tucson Conquistadores: The civic group donated more than $13,000 to Intermountain Centers for the purchase and installation of a new sports court for the Intermountain Academy gymnasium. The new court will replace the schoolโs existing gym flooring, comprised of linoleum tiles outlined with electrical tape.
