  • nth from Tucson Electric Power to improve the quality of life in their communities. TEP awarded the grants to nonprofit organizations that are working to improve childhood education, protect and conserve the environment, and meet the basic needs of limited-income and underserved residents. All of TEP’s contributions are funded from corporate resources, not customers’ rates. This year’s Tucson-area TEP Community Impact Grant recipients are: Our Family Services, $30,000; GAP Ministries, $26,250; Mobile Meals of Tucson, $15,000; Tucson Clean & Beautiful, $14,000; Act One, $10,000; Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson, $10,000; Make Way for Books, $10,000; Soar with the Eagles, $5,000; and Tucson Wildlife Center, $4,750.
  • Papa John’s: Tucson-area Papa John’s restaurants are partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson to support local neighborhoods. Through the Better Neighbors program, all 12 Papa John’s stores in the Tucson area will donate $2 of every sale of the Better Neighbors deal: two large two-topping pizzas with a 2-liter soda purchase, valued at $24. Any time the deal is ordered online, Papa John’s will donate $2 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson. The Better Neighbors commitment will run during the 2018-2019 school year through June 6, 2019.
  • Romano’s Macaroni Grill: Romano’s Macaroni Grill, a national restaurant chain, will thank all first responders during National Pasta Month as part of its second annual #MacGrillGratitude program. Through Oct. 31, any first responder with credentials can receive one complimentary Mom’s Ricotta Meatballs + Spaghetti entrΓ©e at any Macaroni Grill location nationwide.
