Employees with The Home Depot helped install a fence for veteran Clarence Vynalek.

  • The Home Depot:
  • On May 19, more than 15 local Home Depot employees, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Tucson, installed a fence to improve security and privacy at the home of U.S. Army veteran Clarence Vynalek, who served 10 years in special operations.
  • Arizona Painting Co.:
  • On May 21, the company donated the paint and helped a local airman and his family paint the interior and exterior of a home they had just purchased.
  • Cenpatico Integrated Care:
  • The company recognized its employees who have served in the armed forces with a Veterans Service Recognition Wall at its corporate headquarters at 333 E. Wetmore Road. Also, Cenpatico hosted a flag-raising ceremony there on Friday, May 27, with the Marine Corps League presenting the colors.
  • Local postal carriers and customers:
  • Southern Arizona residents who participated in the National Association of Letter Carriers 24th annual โ€œStamp Out Hungerโ€ food drive on May 14 donated more than 125 pounds of food to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
  • 5151 E. Broadway | Kent Circle Investments
  • : The company, whose president is Scott Seldin, made a $3,500 donation to Tucson Jazz Instituteโ€™s Jimmy Heath Project. The gift underwrites the costs for the community-based youth music program to take part in recording sessions with renowned saxophonist Jimmy Heath
  • The CenturyLink Clarke M. Williams Foundation:
  • The foundationโ€™s teachers and technology grant program awarded $5,000 each to Marana High School and San Miguel High School.
