- Casino del Sol and the Pascua Yaqui Tribe:
- The tribe and its gaming enterprise presented a $25,000 check Friday, May 13, to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson Pascua Yaqui Clubhouse at 5010 W. Calle Torim, thanks to the proceeds of Sewailo Golf Club at Casino del Solโs inaugural golf tournament to benefit the clubโs programs and services.
- Surf Thru Express Car Wash:
- Surf Thru is hosting a food drive on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 17-18, to help support the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. During the event, customers who donate canned or nonperishable food will receive a complimentary car wash. Both locations will be open and accepting donations from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.: 3847 W. River Road and 35 S. Pantano Road. The Food Bankโs most needed list includes peanut butter, cereal, granola bars, canned tomato products, canned meat, canned soup, canned vegetables, canned fruit, rice, pasta and beans. No glass containers and no pre-opened items.
