HSL Properties Inc: The company and its affiliates, including the H.S. Lopez Family Trust and the HS Lopez Family Foundation, donated more than $700,000 in 2015, including gifts $10,000 or more apiece to Job Path, Mobile Meals of Tucson, Ronald McDonald House, Steele Children Research Center, San Miguel High School, TMC Foundation, Tu Nidito, University of California San Diego Foundation/Medical Research, Up With People, Arizona Theatre Company, Angel Charity of Tucson, Casa de los NiΓ±os, Empowerment Systems Inc/Arizona Veteran Coalition, Jazz Festival, Salpointe High School, University of Arizona Foundation and the UA Athletic Department.

The Centurions of Southern Arizona: Announced that their 2016 fundraising event, The Great Comic Con Caper β€” A Chic Geek Affair, will take place May 7 in downtown Tucson with 100 percent of proceeds to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tucson. The Centurions’ total pledge, in excess of $200,000, has been earmarked for Big Brothers Big Sisters’ new Mentor 2.0 program. Tucson Sunset Rotary: Its members shopped, wrapped and personally delivered Christmas gifts to 25 children from nine families who otherwise would not have received gifts. Tucson Sunset Rotary partnered with Tucson Urban League to select the recipients.

Epsilon Beta Alumni Foundation of Tucson: Announced the recipients of its 10 annual grants of $3,000 each to accomplished students at the University of Arizona: Jazmin Beltran, Jarrod Whman, Keelie Gallagher, Alyssa Hom, Ana Islas, Susanna Lluria, Emma Paunil, Roderick Richardson, Sydney Richardson and Zufan Yegezu.

United Methodist Churches: Four churches β€” St. Paul’s, Catalina and St. Mark’s in Tucson, and Santa Cruz Valley in Sahuarita β€” worked together on Sunday, Dec. 27, with a goal of packaging 130,000 meals for the local Gospel Rescue Mission, Salvation Army and Casa Maria.
