TripAdvisor, the behemoth travel website that rates and reviews all things travel — from flights to food — just released its Top 10 Tucson restaurants.
The list actually goes much deeper, ranking well over 100 restaurants, but it is the Top 10 that got our attention.
The list is bookended by two Loews Ventana Canyon Resort restaurants: Flying V Bar & Grill at No. 1 and Canyon Cafe at No. 10.
Two other resort eateries — Azul Restaurant and Lounge at Westin La Paloma Resort (No. 3) and The Grill at Hacienda del Sol (No. 5) — made the list, which was compiled by TripAdvisor folks based on customer reviews.
But it's not clear how those reviews were ranked, since all of the restaurants on the list garnered 4 or 4 1/2 stars. And it doesn't appear that the number of reviews played into the rankings either; Flying V had 495 reviews compared to No. 2 Vivace Restaurant, which had 971 reviews. The top review-getter in the rankings: No. 9 Cafe Poca Cosa, which had 1,108 reviews.
