A new jujitsu studio is set to open in Oro Valley next month.
Gracie Barra has leased 1,455 square feet in the Oro Valley Marketplace, 1930 E. Tangerine Road, for a sister location to its current studio at 5700 E. Broadway.
The first Tucson location opened in 2013, said Laura Villegas, program director of Gracie Barra Tucson.
The Oro Valley studio will open March 3 and offer monthly memberships of $150 to $190.
Group classes and individual instruction of jujitsu will be offered.
Gracie Barra has over 700 studios around the world and was founded in Rio de Janeiro.
“We get a lot of families because they feel like it brings them closer together to do something like this as a family,” Villegas said.
The studio also attracts a lot of military and law enforcement clients, she said.
