Afni will add 300 jobs to the Tucson area, the company announced Tuesday.

The call-center operator will hire to staff new client programs and to handle additional business from current clients.

Along with the 300 new customer service representatives, Afni says it will hire 30 project coaches and other operational support personnel starting this month.

“Afni’s paid training now includes hands-on customer contact as early as week three of the 12-week training program,” the company said in a news release.

Afni says it represents major companies in the telecommunications, satellite and cable, and insurance industries, offering customer service, sales, technical support, insurance cost recovery and debt-collection services.

The company is Southern Arizona’s 22nd largest employer, with 1,900 full-time-equivalent workers as of Jan. 1, the Star 200 survey shows.
