• Holmes Tuttle: The founder of Tuttle-Click Automotive Group has been inducted into the Chickasaw Hall of Fame. Tuttle’s son Robert Holmes Tuttle accepted the award on his father’s behalf. Tuttle was born in Indian Territory and his mother, Carrie A. Campbell, was a member of Chickasaw Nation. He opened his first dealership β€” Holmes Tuttle Ford β€” in Los Angeles in 1946. Today, under the leadership of Tuttle’s son Robert and cousin Jim Click, Tuttle-Click Automotive Group consists of 16 dealerships and 29 franchises in California and Arizona.
  • TCI Wealth Advisors Inc.: Hank Peck, president of retirement plans, has earned the Certified Plan Fiduciary Adviser credential, a designation of fiduciary responsibility for the nation’s leading advisers and retirement plan experts. Sam Swift, director of retirement plans, has earned his Accredited Investment Fiduciary designation from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.   • Pima Community College: The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting has been awarded to Pima Community College by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for the college’s fiscal year 2016 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. The CAFR has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive β€œspirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the CAFR.
  • City High School: Eve Rifkin, director of college access and one of the school’s co-founders, was awarded the Arville Wheeler Prize. The Wheeler Prize, from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College of Education and Human Development, honors a graduate who works in K-12 education. Rifkin graduated with a doctoral degree in education leadership and policy.
  • Arizona Craft Beverage: Arizona’s first licensed craft distillery group won Arizona Distillery of the Year for the second time from the New York International Spirits Competition. In addition, Arizona Craft Beverage’s Elgin Distillery won gold for their Arizona Straight Bourbon in the nation’s top spirits competitions. The first award came from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, where the bourbon won a gold medal. Next, the distillery won gold medals for both Arizona Distillery of the Year and the bourbon itself at the New York International Spirits Competition. Most recently, it won the gold medal in the Los Angeles International Spirits competition.
