Your guide to Tucson's breweries

Pueblo Vida sits in a building nearly 100 years old on the East Broadway side of downtown. It's away from the hustle of bustle of East Congress Street, but still only a 5-10 minute walk from downtown venues, such as the Rialto and Club Congress.
The brewery serves up approximately ten beers on tap at any given time. The scene is relaxing and the brewery regularly holds events, such as tastings and yoga.

Another downtown brewery staple, Borderlands fills the space once occupied by a depot for train-delivered produce and was one of the first to open as part of the craft brewery renaissance in Tucson.
The brewery usually has art on the walls, has regular live music and hosts regular science-themed lectures (Tucson is a science town, after all).

Thunder Canyon can be considered an elder statesman of craft brewing in Tucson. It started making beer in 1997 at its Foothills Mall location, 7401 N. La Cholla Blvd.
Brewing activities has since been moved to its downtown spot (the Foothills Mall locale still exists as a brewpub). Its East Broadway location is just across the street from Pueblo Vida.
Unlike many of its fellow breweries, Pueblo Vida also provides a full menu, giving you the option to nosh while you drink. It has even started distilling.

Public Brewhouse is a hidden spot in the courtyard behind Ermano's Craft Beer & Wine Bar on North Fourth Avenue.
It inhabits what used to be the original brewhouse of Hamilton Distillers, whose Whiskey Del Bac production has since moved to West Grant Road.
The brewery is open seven days a week and is a good place for picking up a pint and hearing some live music.
