#ThisIsTucson's happy hour menu at The Moonstone includes nachos and a very-purple drink.

We've so far curated two seasonal happy hour menus for The Moonstone, the rooftop bar at a hotel near the University of Arizona.

But for our spring rendition, we have a couple twists in store.

We're playing with astrology and all of our selected menu items will have starry names. We'll also have a tarot reader on two of the dates and an astrology reader on three.

And one of the most exciting parts: two brand-new cocktails, which have yet to launch at The Moonstone, will be part of the happy hour menu.

The chicken caramelos at The Moonstone are one of our favorite menu items.

Here's what to expect 🌌💫

From 5-7 p.m. Fridays, Feb. 21, March 7, March 21, April 4 and April 18, head to The Moonstone at Graduate Tucson, 930 E. Second St. It's on the 14th floor of the hotel, with gorgeous views of the blue skies and the lush University of Arizona.

On the first three dates, you can get an astrology reading by Emma Vasseur. Think birth chart readings and discussions of what's being reflected in the cosmos. Make sure you know the exact time of your birth!

On the two April dates, you can get a tarot reading from Persephonic Tarot's Maria Elena Pakulis. She started offering her services in 2019 and began teaching classes on tarot reading two years later.

The menu 🌮🌟

Enjoy the following specials with a 20% discount on the above dates:

  • Milky Way — This is a new addition to The Moonstone's rotation of cocktails. Think of a key lime pie, but in cocktail form. It comes with Milagro Reposado, lime, vanilla syrup and coconut cream with a graham cracker rim.

The Milky Way is The Moonstone's take on a key lime pie.

  • Constellation — Also a new addition to the menu, this spicy drink is made up of Jack Daniels, lemon juice, blood orange and spiced honey.
  • The Moon and Stars — The Moonstone renamed their namesake drink for the occasion. The popular cocktail is Bombay Sapphire, orgeat syrup, coconut cream, lime, butterfly pea flower and edible glitter to look like a starry night in a cloud of purple.
  • Full Moon — The popular nachos have been renamed to fit with the galactic theme. They're our favorite item on The Moonstone's menu, thanks in part to the poblano queso.
  • Half Moon — Because the chicken caramelos have a half-moon shape, this name was fitting. The hint of spice from the chicken tinga is lovely, as is the crunch of the tortilla.
  • Asteroid Clutters — The vegetarian elotes cheesy bread has been cut into shareable pieces, topped with street corn, cheese and chiles.

And for the folks who prefer beer, there will be a happy hour discount on Kona Big Wave. See ya there!
