Has it been five years since the local brew scene gave us Dragoon? It's hard to imagine a time before we could get their handsome IPA at any Tucson bar. But here's a reminder: the westside brewery opened in 2012.
They're holding one heck of a birthday party this weekend, with live music, special collaboration releases and a list of chefs that might turn your head.
Here's the lineup for the party's pop-up restaurant:
— Ryan Clark, head chef at PY Steakhouse at Casino Del Sol 🍳
— Tyler Fenton, chef and owner of Reilly Craft Pizza 🍳
— Ken Harvey, executive chef of Loews Ventana Canyon resort 🍳
— Ramiro Scavo, chef and owner of Pasco and Red's Smokehouse & Taproom 🍳
Get your Instagrams fired up for this menu, yet-to-be announced. It's going down from 4 to 9 p.m. in the Dragoon parking lot at 1859 W. Grant Road.
What else is happening at this party? Live music from KXCI (1 to 3 p.m.), local musician Tom Walbank (3 to 6 p.m.) and Wooden Tooth Records (6 to 9:30 p.m.).
There will also be five special collaboration brews: a Kellerpils made with Pueblo Vida, an English pale ale with Ten Fifty-Five Brewing, a whiskey barrel-aged porter made with Historic Brewing Company in Flagstaff, a Kolsch with Lumberyard Brewing Company also in Flagstaff, and a cedar India Pale Lager with Four Peaks in Tempe.
Anniversary merch plus live screen-printing by CREAM Design and Print from 6 to 9 p.m.
More food from local ruck The Blacktop Grill, noon to 4 p.m.
Valet bike parking from 6 to 10 p.m. provided by Living Streets Alliance. Transit Cycles will also lead a group ride to the brewery at 5 p.m. If you get to the event by rideshare, taxi, or bike, let them know and get half off your first beer.
The Dragoon 5 Year Anniversary Party runs from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday. 🍺🍺🍺
